Goodbye volcano high hate1/31/2024 Thank you so much for your understanding - we can’t wait for you to play what we’ve been working on. Soon, we’ll be premiering another public demo and we hope you’ll all have the chance to check it out. We need a bit more time to make sure all that work really shines! We’ve been so honored to hear such a positive response to our demo. GVH is a really special project for us and everyone on our team has done incredible work on this game. I know this isn't the easiest thing to hear-it is a difficult thing for us to do. This delay also moves our launch date out of a very busy June release calendar, opening us up to more incredible opportunities, and gives the game a greater chance of success. Meeting our original launch date would require our team to work nights, weekends and early mornings to ship and risk burning people out. Plus, we’re a studio that prides itself on avoiding crunch. We don’t want to release anything less than the best version of the game we have been making throughout our development cycle. This would mean delivering something much different than what we’ve envisioned and worked toward. The reality is that, with our current workload, we could not have met our June launch date without significant cuts to the quality and scope of the game. Goodbye Volcano High is a queer narrative adventure game created by a diverse team: one of the key pillars of the studio.Īfter assessing our production schedule for GVH, we’ve made the decision to move our launch to August 29, 2023. The team is also excited to welcome actor Lachlan Watson ( Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) who will lend her voice to Fang, the game’s playable protagonist. Will they find time to figure themselves out? Can they balance navigating a changing world with a budding romance? During hard times, what do we owe each other? Goodbye Volcano High is a cinematic narrative adventure about the end of an era… and the beginning of a love story. But they’re about to have much bigger problems. Fang is a typical 18-year-old dinosaur: they’re more concerned about their band going viral than they are about what happens after graduation.
